1976 Fender Tube Reverb unit

$1,500.00

Tailed logo, has in/out tone control with “mixer” and “dwell” controls, also a “hum balance” (aka adjustable bias), UL safety sticker (you know it’s not a reissue). Has original grounded plug. These second-generation reverb units have the more common 6V6 (not 6K6) and 12AX7 (label reads 7025, the military designation). These have 4 tubes as opposed to earlier and reissues and have a better high end (the extra tube reduces the output impedance). You might prefer this over any other reverb. The original 3-tube Fender Reverb units were discontinued in 1966 as even the lowly Princetons and Deluxe amps now had reverb. Then Fender brought them back but improved with the aforementioned hum balance control (adjustable without opening up the electronics) and superior 4-tube performance (Less tone loss and more easily-sourced 6V6s). Comes with new footswitch.
