1957 Fender Tweed Champ

Model 5E1, tube chart GD, April ’57, with the original 6” Alnico speaker. These 6” speaker Champs originally were sold as a set with Champ steel guitars called an “outfit”. This one is in average condition with the original tweed worn in corners and a few ciggy burns. The handle and the lower back panel is replaced and all of the panel screws are newer. Has a newer grounded cord too. Was sold at some point by Pete’s Guitars a famous store here in St. Paul that closed in 1999. These are famously good for recording but also famous for harmonica (harp) players as this one comes from a blues harp player who used it for decades. Looks cool on a book shelf, sounds great for the studio or office. Your first tweed amp maybe?
