New Finn Mandolin “Erin”

A special upscale model from the humble brilliant mind of our pal Finn. Made from aged high grade quilted maple and from the same piece of reclaimed spruce that Finn made Keith Richard’s five string mandocello. The body is fully hand carved using only hand tools. Then completely French polished by hand. These don’t have serial numbers and are not patterned, each is unique and given a name and not a number.

Note the deep arch of the top and back. Also note the pickguard and fingerboard made of the same material. The headstock is also tapered. Then listen. The tap tuned arch top has amazing cutting volume. You’ll cut through and be heard. And Keith Richards? Yes. Finn found a lovely piece of spruce from an old house that was made in 1943, Keiths birth year. Just an interesting foot note.

Has a deep V neck, brilliant but hand made workmanship. Look closely at all the neat details like faux binding on the body, F holes and headstock. No French polish on those edges. Of course Finn doesn’t make cases. So cases are extra if available.
