2014 Collings I35 LC Deluxe

Jet Black, in excellent condition, the deluxe version has grained ivoroid binding on the body, fretboard, truss rod cover and headstock. They also have custom made ivoroid knobs, tuner buttons and pickup rings. Deluxe indeed. Plus this one has the amazing looking optional double parallelogram inlays.

We sold this new in 2014 and sent Collings a set of Duncan Antiquity humbuckers to install at the factory. They are a toneful PAF clone that is still a favorite of ours. Collings uses a proprietary laminate construction with a maple/spruce center block for a drier woodier mid range. The contrast of the Jet Black finish with the white ivoroid trim and aged nickel hardware is striking. The perfect fretboard and ultra high quality ooze out of this guitar and the tone is a heartbreaking mix of complexity and articulation. Lots of sustain and every note true. This was made during the Bill Collings era. We have to say the quality standards are just as high now but some people love the “Bill” era. Comes with the original hard case and papers. You need this.
