Made during the Mike Eldridge era. Modeled after his 1961 P-Bass that is Fiesta Red over Desert Sand with the pickup made to his exacting standards. The neck was based on his ’63 Sunburst model. So this blends the best of both. Pino is a customer of Willies and we always had nice chats with the Welsh gentleman at Who shows.
Pino played with David Gilmour, Jeff Beck, Don Henley, John Mayer and…the Who. No one fills John Entwistle’s shoes without knowing good tone. Pino shared that Mike Eldridge and the crew really nailed the pickup sound. He’s now a Music Man endorser over an issue with later pickups.
This is a tastefully aged relic like his ’61 but the fretboard is a laminate rosewood like his ’63. Comes with the COA and other case goodies in the original tweed hard shell case. $4400
