1976 Fender Starcaster
$4,500.00In stock
Sunburst, it’s the “other offset” Fender guitar. It’s no secret that the Coronado was a failed model and was discontinued in 1969. But Gibson ES semi hollows were solid sellers. Fender had to rethink things. Maybe, instead of wimpy single coils we could design something with humbuckers? Seth Lover worked now worked for Fender and he invented the original PAF humbucker. So Fender put out the Starcaster and these are great semi-hollow guitar with a master volume.
The Starcaster is 25.5” scale, 1 11/16” nut width with offset design for balance and comfort. This one is a very nice sunburst color with noticeable flame and good grain. The body has four layers of binding. It’s got a center block like an ES-335. The Seth Lover pickups are crisp and articulate humbuckers. This has great frets and just came out of the shop when we set it up and cleaned the pots and electronics. Sounds great, looks really cool and plays well. You’ll love it! Comes with the original hard shell case.
