1976 Gibson Les Paul Standard
$2,750.00In stock
Wine Red, VG+, who doesn’t love a beat up 50 year old Les Paul Standard? This was a musicians money maker. You might ask: How do you think it plays and sounds? Clearly, someone could not put it down. The previous owner got this from us a decade ago but is leaving the country and can’t take it with him. He told is to plug it in. The pickups are really great. He was right.
It is refretted (you’re welcome). The tuners are newer but dropped in the original holes. The tailpiece is newer too. It has no cracks. There is finish checking on back of the headstock but no cracks. The back of the neck has some nice natural wear for a satin feel. The neck is a nice medium C profile. In 1976 the Les Paul Standard had just moved back into production. 1974 was the first year for the standard since 1960, but in very limited numbers. Then in 1975, the Standard was reintroduced. Again, this one is a 1976. It’s a great old guitar with a newer SKB hard shell case. $
