Two Tone Sunburst, no changes. Wow, that’s hard to find these days. Al all stock 69 year old Stratocaster. The neck dates Feb. ’57, all other dates about the same. Being an early ’57, two of the pickup covers are bakelite the other is standard. Because of the condition inside we have to assume it’s straight.
The body is a rare one piece alder with the original clean finish with not much yellowing. The neck finish is also original and the neck is also very clean. It’s currently strung with period correct flat wounds. An extra set is in the case. The frets show very little wear. It weighs in at 7.8 pounds. The pickups are all strong with a balanced output. The bridge, saddles, tuners, logo, frets, plastic and strap buttons are all original. It has a nice clean tweed case with the poodle interior. A really cool time machine guitar and very rare in this condition. Consigned.
