1946 Gibson BR-3
$2,699.00In stock
This amp, made early in the post-WWII period and designed by the Chicago firm Barnes & Reinecke (who also did lap steels), was expensive and quite rare (we’ve heard only 79 were made). Martin case manufacturer Geib hand-made the tweed-covered cabinets with the green felt stenciled with the “G” logo. Power is from 2 6V6 tubes and is around 12 to 15 watts. Original 1945 Utah 12″ speaker. Also has 2 7B7 triode tubes, one 6J5 triode, plus a 5Z4 rectifier. Rugged, well-built, and sounds great. New power cable, has cover.
