1959 Faded Crimson. We custom ordered this to be the same set up as John Lennon’s guitar during his solo years. Has a one piece aged Honduran Mahogany body and neck, Indian Rosewood fretboard with a 1 11/16” nut width, 12” radius and long tenon neck joint. The neck is a really great feeling C shape which is .865” at the first and .967” at the 9th fret. It feels full without being huge and has that perfect action that Collings is known for, perfect at every bend.

The tone is fantastic acoustically and through an amp? Fahgettaboutit! The bridge pickup is the legendary Throbak 55/56 DE P-90 custom wound on a Geo-38 winder. The neck pickup is a Lollar Charlie Christian pickup that is full, rich and smooth. The P-90 nails the sound of a 75 year old Gibson, crisp and articulate. The simple controls are a single volume and tone control (just like John’s). This is in unused condition. It was played a little at home and back in trade. Comes with the original hard case and papers. This was $6K new.
