Exquisite square-shouldered dreadnought acoustic in excellent condition. Custom-ordered with “New Traditional” specifications, solid tortoise-bound Adirondack spruce top on solid Honduran mahogany back and sides, Honduran mahogany neck with no tongue brace, 1 3/4” nut and 25.5” scale length, unbound ebony fingerboard with rounded edge and gold pearl inlays and ebony peghead veneer, nickel Waverly tuners, pre-war scalloped X-bracing, ebony bridge with tortoise pins, small bridge plate, lovely wood purfling on top and rosette, and aging toner all over. Incredible articulation, projection, and clarity, plenty of bass response, great dynamics, and of course it plays extremely well too. A fine flattop inspired by pre-war mahogany-bodied dreadnoughts from Nazareth, made with painstaking attention to detail and the finest materials by our good friends at Collings in Austin, Texas, USA. Comes in its factory hard case, from the brief period when Collings was manufacturing their own cases with modern protection and robustness but vintage style. A splendid acoustic guitar in great shape from an absolutely top-tier maker.
