Custom-made for The Podium’s 50th anniversary. EX-. These were designed after Don McLean’s Martin, and called a “Singer-Songwriter” model. This guitar has some cool features. First, an Engelmann spruce top, which is less stiff than Sitka for a great strummed tone, premium East Indian rosewood back and sides, scalloped braces (but no herringbone trim), beveled pickguard, and built with hide glue construction, ebony fingerboard and bridge, low-profile neck shape, 1 & 3/4” nut, 2 & 1/4” string spacing, and an old-style Martin decal. Also, we talked with our good friend David Roos, who worked at The Podium for decades (The Podium is now closed), who said it was a great seller. This guitar was played and shows wear, scratches, added nickel Waverly tuners (great news) but is missing a dot inlay between the 16th and 17th frets (last position markers). No cracks, has added K&K Mini Plus pickup. Comes in its original deluxe Geib-style hard case.
