Natural, when Eric Clapton released his “Unplugged” album in 1992 the world of acoustic guitars changed. Martin guitar sales had been in a slump. Think of the music of the day; Guns and Roses, Pearl Jam and Nirvana and you might guess why. But the “Unplugged” record really unplugged the acoustic guitar market and its gone up from there.

So C.F. Martin released a copy of Eric Clapton’s pre-war 000-28 in 1996 . The original came from Minnesota btw. It features herringbone trim, scalloped braces, snow flake inlays and open back tuners. Also has vintage aging toner to the lacquer. We ran this through the shop, glued down three top braces. It’s set up and ready. The tone is absolutely fantastic with long sustaining notes, nice big bass response and clear treble. It’s no secret that a good 27 years of breaking in a great guitar will improve its tone. Yes, it’s broken in and waiting for its next home. Comes with the original hard case. A famous model in its second year of issue.
