1997 Gibson Hank Williams Jr. SJ Shery Crow Owned
$18,950.00In stock
Sunburst, owned by Sheryl Crow and used as a stage guitar from 1999 through 2011. This is a Hank Williams Jr. model with Sheryl’s pickup system she used at the time with the jack and strap button separate.
Sheryl Crow and her band were in Minneapolis in May of 2011 to rehearse for a tour and play at the Minneapolis Convention Center May 11th, 2011. She and the band borrowed Willie’s van to get around and stopped in the store to hang out. She was very kind talking with customers who didn’t know who she was, just talking guitars and being herself.
This is not an autographed guitar. It’s one of her stage guitars. Willie’s is kind of well known for working with and helping touring bands. This comes with a letter from Willie and two backstage passes. The case has a Euro sticker from 1999.
It’s a great guitar btw. Let us say Sheryl knows guitars. She is a fan of vintage guitars and has owned some great stuff. We admire her taste in guitars and always have.
She plays guitar, bass, uke, piano and accordion and has perfect pitch. She is one of Americas guitar songwriters. Johnny Cash covered one of her songs. She has sold 16 million records and was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of fame in 2023. And we will say it… the Threads album should have won a grammy. Yes, the album with Stevie Nicks, Bonnie Raitt, Mavis Staples, Chris Stapleton, Eric Clapton, Sting, Brandi Carlile, Don Henley, Keith Richards, Willie Nelson and Joe Walsh and more. Yes, THAT RECORD. No grammy nomination? WTF?
Feel good because we will donate 20% of the sale to Twin Cities and Nashville food shelves.
