1978 Marshall 2104

“Master Model 50w Mk 2. Lead”, made in the UK. The 2×12” combo version of the popular JMP 50-watt 2204 Marshall heads. These offer a more directional, focused sound than the bigger 4×12 cabinets, and two fewer speakers makes it a little bit more manageable in smaller rooms. Comes with EHX 6550 power tubes, which as the chassis tag would indicate, means this one was made for the USA market (UK models got EL-34s, the conversion is easily done and reversed by an amp tech if you wanted). The casters are a nice addition as these weigh about 65 pounds. The original Clestion G12M 1978-dated speakers are equivalent to the later “Greenback” reissues, and have the “T1221” frame code, the amp has its original Drake transformers (as opposed to the Dagnall transformers found in 100W amps from Marshall). Runs well and sounds fantastic. Nice fitted cover included. Consigned, local pickup only.
