1968 Rickenbacker 366-12 Convertible

Fireglo, 12 string err..we mean 6 string. No wait, 12 string. No No, 6 string. In really clean condition. This might be the cleanest one of these nifty guitars we’ve had.

First. You can just play it as a 12 string. Sounds killer. As they say if you’re going to have only one electric 12 string guitar, get a Rickenbacker. Or remove the comb. But what fun is that?

Second, it works. What that stupid thing works? Yes pretty much. Face it not a lot of guys play bending blues licks on a Rickenbacker. But Tom Petty used one on stage. You can too.

We set it up great. The pickups are balanced and the electronics have been cleaned. We adjusted the truss rod and adjusted the action so it plays great. It looks great too. It has a few scratches and small dings but was clearly well cared for and clean. It’s a nice color with nice wood grain and everyone loves the crushed pearl inlays. It’s the first year of issue. Buy it just for the sculpture. We put an expensive set of Thomastik semi flat 12 strings on it and it plays even better. Comes with the original hard case. Impress your friends.
