1967 Fender Mustang Bass
Olympic White, all original with great sounding original split coil hum cancelling pickups. In original nitro finish and tortoise pickguard. 1966 was the first year for the Mustang bass. This one has the same early gold logo, Brazilian Rosewood fretboard. These features were only available for the first three years of production.

It’s been said the Mustang bass was intended as a pro level short scale bass rather than a cheap student bass. With hum cancelling pickups and longer throw bridge with four individually adjustable saddles. They are certainly rarer than the Mustang guitars. The more student level Music Master bass came in ’68.

This shows some light finish checking on the lacquer finish body but almost no fret wear. This has a thick neck and as you likely know it’s a 30” scale has Lollipop tuners and is freshly strung with flat wound strings. This came from the original owner from Western Nebraska. We don’t see too many of these Mustang basses. A nice clean example with the original grey hard shell case.
