1965 Supro Model 24

Blue, recently shop-checked with original Jensen C-12N dated the 8th week of 1965. We added a grounded cord, replaced 2 preamp tubes and a power supply filter cap. Cleaned it up and voila, it works great. These have a pair of 6973 power tubes famous for their use in old jukeboxes as they were reliable, took a higher voltage, and had a great frequency response. This is 18 watts and sounds great. Are these the Jimmy Page amp? Maybe. Kinda. We hear he used a few different amps, but his most famous is on display at the Met in New York and it’s a Supro Model 1690T. Still, these are well-made, thinner wood in the cabinet makes them resonate really well. About the same volume as a Deluxe. Comes with groovy cover. We think it’s called Trinidad Blue. Lastly, we thank Dave Hunter, who had a great article in VG Magazine that Willie stole specs from. Oh, and check out the wild home-made fabric cover!
