Cherry, VG++, a very charming and unusual example with great sounding patent sticker pickups.

Did I say unusual? This has most of the 1964 features like a bigger neck and 1 11/16” nut width and wider border pickguard and truss rod cover. And…all nickel hardware that’s aged well. But wait. Is that a nickel trapeze tailpiece? Yes, the trapeze was Ted McCarty’s idea to lesson tension and offer more accurate acoustic resonance. That is what makes this example rather unique.

This has been refretted (you’re welcome) and plays great. No harm done as the guitar looks like a Murphy lab light aged. Also the tuners are restored with a set of 1969 nickel Gibson Klusons. The nickel Patent Sticker pickups have a 7.75K output in the bridge and 8.24K in the neck position. The guitar is otherwise original, even the strap buttons.

The finish has faded a bit in a cool way and the binding has yellowed over the years giving it a great glow. There is finish checking all over but no breaks. A really cool vibe and rather unique guitar with killer pickups. Comes with the original hard case.
