Shell Pink with a sea shell shaped pickup. Say that three times fast. A fantastic sounding guitar that also looks unique. Made of Reso Glass, a trade name for a fiberglass molded into guitar shaped bodies. Also used by car manufacturers in the same time period. The Corvette comes to mind.

The pickup has a strong output rather like a beefy Telecaster bridge pickup. The neck is wood and the fretboard is made of thick Brazilian Rosewood. It’s 25.5” scale, 1 11/16” nut width and has the original nickel Kluson tuners with tulip buttons.

Honestly after 50 years of doing vintage guitars this is one of my favorites. Freakish good looks, nice neck, surprisingly great pickup and cool Gumby headstock. These were only made for two and a half years starting in 1961. I’ve included a new Gibson 335 case for this because you will want to play it live. Thanks to our pal Chad for finding this one for us.
