1958 Martin 000-28

Natural, EX-, A gorgeous book matched Brazilian Rosewood back and sides with a chain link back strip. This is an early ’58 so has nickel Kluson tuners and a tortoise pickguard. Looks to be the original bridge but was screwed down at some point in its 67 years. Those holes are filled. Has had a neck reset recently so it has great action and a tall saddle. Has a 24.9” scale length and a 1 11/16” nut width. Also was refretted recently and shows no visible wear on the frets. There is buckle wear and some finish checking but no cracks, not even a B string crack. We got this guitar five years ago from the original owner. She loved her guitar but reached a point in her life where selling made sense.

Has a big balanced dry and woody tone. It’s destiny is to be owned next by you. We’ll say it again, buy old Brazilian Martins as new Martin guitars with Brazilian Rosewood are more expensive than most of the vintage ones…but steadily rising in value while improving in tone as they age. This comes with the original hard case. You never really own these but you as the next caretaker will love this.
