Natural, the G stands for Gut strings. Otherwise, this is appointed like any 28-level Martin from this period. Sitka Spruce top with six layers of top binding and a three-ring rosette, Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. The 28G is fan-braced with a tie on bridge.

This one has elegant book-matched Brazilian Rosewood back and sides with nice-looking grain. The neck is Honduran Mahogany and the Martin logo is on the back of the headstock. Please note the tuners have been changed to gold-plated ones. There was something taped to the back (a set list maybe?) It looks like a crack but it is just tape residue.

Has an ebony fingerboard and bridge and a 2” nut width. There is a large ding on the treble side of the bridge.

Willie Nelson plays a Martin nylon string. His “Trigger” is a 1969 Martin N-20 with Brazilian Rosewood and fan bracing like this one. Trigger is a 12-fret neck joint and a 25.4” scale, again just like this. These 00-28G’s were made from 1937-1962.

This one has changed tuners, finish checking and a few dings but is crack-free. The notes have a surprising bass response with long sustain.

It comes with its original deluxe hard case with nickel fittings, a leather handle and nice green felt lining.
