1949 Gibson LG-1

In stock

Sunburst, 24 3/4” scale, factory numbers 2843-16, small pickguard, small bridge, tapered headstock. Ladder-braced with slender braces. The better to hear you with my dear. Has a Sitka Spruce top, mahogany back and sides, Brazilian Rosewood bridge and fingerboard with a long saddle. One repaired side crack, all original except reissue tuners. These are exactly the same as the LG-2 except for the ladder braces. The sound has less volume but has a nice blues bark. Collings Waterloo have really brought back the ladder-braced sound. This is fairly clean with no breaks, beautiful Sunburst with the aged lacquer glow of a 70-year-old guitar. Made in the Gibson golden era when they were using woods we can only dream of today. Comes with a newer hard case.
