Natural, Mahogany, in excellent condition, 9” wide with three layers of binding on top and back with Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard. The famous uke player Lyle Ritz was a Gibson tenor uke fan. Here at the store Willie claims these are the best sounding tenors with the biggest lower bout as they have a rich voice. Martin made more tenors but the Gibsons sound better. The TU-2 has the nice binding too. The build date is a guess at 1940 but it isn’t from the early 30’s or from the 50’s. A beautiful instrument for any guitarist who travels. This one has replaced tuners with Waverly Koa friction pegs, the best they make. It’s crack free with only light finish checking that most 80 year old instruments have. Meet your new best friend. The best tenor uke we’ve had in a while. Comes with the original Gibson soft case.
