1996 Matchless Lightning 2×10
$4,400.00In stock
2×10” non-reverb combo in black, Mark Sampson-era, recently serviced. Willie’s Guitars was the largest Matchless dealer in the country when our pal Mark Sampson was alive and running the company. So many rare, prototype, and standard models came through here. They were made to sound like classic JMI-era Vox amps but with bulletproof construction (early Vox amps are great but bulletproof…not hardly.) The Sampson era had a magic in part due to secret-recipe transformers. The Lightning series are proving to be the most sought-after of the line, with all the power needed for gigs. Huge tone, master volume, active tone circuit (zero is at 12:00 on the controls, add or subtract bass or treble from there.) For some the best amp ever made. No returns on amps.
