1964 Fender Princeton-Amp

Ex-. March of 1964 so solidly pre-CBS, cool transitional model with the “brown” 6G2 circuit and white knobs but black panel and black tolex. These white-knob Princetons were famously used as stage amps. Why? Headroom with just the right amount of “hair”. Just out of the shop with instructions to do anything that needed to be done, and now $175 later its original RCA 6v6s are rebiased, one of the 12AX7s has been replaced as well as a bias cap. Also a grounded plug added  and the “death cap” has been removed. Everything cleaned, tightened, resoldered as needed. Take this and love it all you like. Dovetail-jointed solid pine cabinet (screw-on baffle), no extra holes or mods. This amp has an early alnico 10” that looks like its been painted and reconed, but sounds…wow. Smooth and creamy with great articulation. This also has the the original Schumacher transformer of the type commonly found in tweed-era Fenders. A rather rare and cool thing that your ears (and eyes) will love. Handwired in Fullerton, California, USA.
