Tobacco Sunburst, EX-, These are the first Les Paul Standards made by Gibson since the originals were discontinued in 1961. These were special ordered and only 60 made in the Kalamazoo factory. They have mahogany necks, nickel Kluson tuners and are almost always seen in the Tobacco Sunburst finish.

This one is stamped factory second on the back of the headstock. It also one had another set of tuners installed. You can see the tuner holes were bigger and filled in. But the original tuners are back on. This has Patent Stamp pickups with the patent number stamped into the back of the pickup, not a sticker. These are original to the guitar and don’t get the same premium as the patent sticker pickups do.
The frets are in great shape. It weighs in at 9.5 pounds and has the same knobs as your 1961 Burst. All of the hardware is original too. The tone through an amp is fantastic with great clarity in the upper mids that adds definition even with heavy distortion. The original strap buttons are still there but the top strap button was moved to the back of the guitar. A great era and a future collectible. Comes with the original hard case.
