1958 Martin 00-18

Natural, the previous owner paid over $750 to run this through our shop for a neck reset, bridge reglue and B string crack repair. Now it’s ready for you to play worry free. The through saddle is bone and sits tall so it plays and sounds great. These 00 size guitars are having a moment as we sell lots of newer 00 Martins and older Gibson LG’s and B25’s.

This being an 18 model, it is a mahogany body and neck with an old growth Sitka Spruce top that is now 68 years old. The tone has lots of punch and midrange crunch that is powerful that only a well played vintage Martin can deliver. It’s rather amazing considering its small size. Also has a Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Other repairs include two back cracks fixed long ago and the lower half of the treble side was patched about 3.5” from the end pin. All nice clean work, done long ago. Additionally the back of the neck was oversprayed after an earlier neck reset and some back braces were reglued. Hey, it’s almost 70 years old and it still has the original nickel Grover Sta-tite tuners. Oddly this never had a strap button added. Of course it has many other nicks, dings and scratches of a well loved vintage Martin.

We will say it again: the tone is fantastic with long sustain, growl and a complex tonal palette you’ll love. Comes with a 70’s blue Martin hard case. We love cool old guitars.
