New Kennedy OM #85

In stock

Minnesota luthier Terence Kennedy has been building exquisite flattop acoustics since 1998, and we’re very pleased to be able to offer some of his amazing instruments. This one is an OM-size steel-string with a stunningly wide-grained Adirondack spruce top over a very interesting double-sided body with Indian rosewood on the inner surface and mahogany on the exterior, tortoise binding, Adirondack bracing, an ebony fingerboard with MOP diamonds and squares position markers, Waverly tuners, Brazilian rosewood bridge with ebony pins, Brazilian rosewood rosette, headstock veneer, heel cap, and end graft. Other features and details include a 25.4″ scale length, 1 $ 3/4″ nut width, 2 & 1/4″ saddle spacing, and a lovely MOP shamrock inlay on the heel cap. So how is it and how does it? The materials and workmanship are absolutely world-class and stand up to close inspection, easily rivaling the big names in custom flattops. And of course, the tone is breathtaking – amazing clarity and dynamics, and projection and bass response that belie its small size. A tremendous guitar and we’re proud to be representing it for Terry. Comes in deluxe hard case.
