New Fender American Original ’50s Stratocaster Limited Edition

In stock

A “Mary Kaye”, White Blonde on ash with gold hardware. New and stunning to look at. Custom Shop Fat ’50s pickups, chambered ash (lighter!), nitrocellulose lacquer, soft “v” neck with 9.5″ radius, vintage tall frets, bone nut. These limited editions tend to hold value, especially as ash is getting harder to find. Since it is Women in Music Month, we should note that Mary Kaye (1924-2007) was from Detroit and was descended from Hawaiian royalty and was credited for the Las Vegas “lounge” phenomenon with her band, the Mary Kaye Trio. All-night parties where stars and common folk rubbed elbows. She did promo work for Fender, posing with her custom-ordered Stratocaster with the now-iconic and eponymous “Mary Kaye” combination of translucent White Blonde on ash and gold-plated parts in 1956. This beautiful guitar comes with all case candy and ships in its deluxe tweed hard case. Limited lifetime warranty, made in Corona, California, USA.
