Lemon Burst, heavy aging. The few times we’ve gotten real ’59 Bursts they always take our breath away. Remember the Burst we had that was owned by Joe Walsh (see Vintage Guitar Magazine for the full story). About 30 of our customers played it. This guitar can give thrills just by looking at it. And we love the color. You guys all know these Custom Shop Murphy-aged guitars so we won’t bore you with details of hide glue construction or the M69 butyrate plastic pickup rings, long-tenon neck joint, or how the aging is a work of art. The ’59 Les Paul is the most expensive solidbody guitar ever and will always be an American icon. This one is drop-dead sexy and sounds incredible. All papers and COA and of course the original aged case too. Wow.
