Figured ash body in “Blackguard Blonde” nitrocellulose lacquer, big chunky “50 Blackguard U”-profile maple neck, 7.25″ radius, tall vintage frets, 8.0 pounds, 1-ply phenolic blackguard (of course), knurled dome knobs, vintage-style tuning machines, 3-saddle bridge, a matched pair of Custom Shop Hand-wound ’50-51 Blackguard single-coil pickups with 3-way selector, master volume and master tone, Anniversary neck plate, and comes in deluxe tweed hard case with all papers and accessories. Only produced for 2020, the Broadcaster reissue is a faithful recreation of the original instrument that was the target of a threatened lawsuit by Gretsch who held the trademark on the name “BroadKaster”. Fender at first cut the offending word off the decals, creating the so-called “Nocaster”, and then eventually settled on “Telecaster”, which appears to have been a successful marketing decision. Made in Corona, California, USA, and has a lifetime warranty.
