2015 Martin Custom Koa Dreadnought

Out of stock

Well, here’s a neat one. Solid highly-figured koa top, back, and sides, mahogany neck, ebony bridge and fingerboard, pearl dots, tortoise guard, tortoise binding on top and back, figured koa headplate, scalloped Sitka spruce braces, open-back Grover tuners with vintage buttons, modified low oval neck profile, 25.4″ scale length, 1 3/4″ nut width. So, close but not identical the D-252K model Martin offered in the ’80s, but definitely it’s own (very appealing) thing. Big, articulate, and rich dreadnought tone, with that unique clarity and strong bass response that koa brings. Plays very well, looks fantastic (koa is one of the lovelier woods for a guitar), is in excellent condition, and comes in its original hard case with paperwork. Made in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, USA.
