2000 Martin D-18GE Sunburst


1935 Sunburst, pretty, wide-grained Adirondack spruce top on solid Honduran mahogany back and sides, always a crowd pleaser with its cannon-like tone.  This one in is great shape with no cracks and very light playing wear on the top, an early Golden Era model, and with a serial number way below the one million mark, made back when you had to go through the Custom Shop to get that $300 sunburst option. Other specs: forward-shifted scalloped top braces, 1 & 3/4” nut, modified “v” neck profile, ebony fingerboard with abalone graduated-pearl Style 18 dot inlays, beveled pickguard, tortoise-shell binding, long-saddle ebony bridge,  Also has nickel Waverly open-back tuners. A great-sounding Adirondack dreadnought with power and volume to spare. Made in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, by America’s premier acoustic guitar maker, and a fine example of a guitar many wish Martin still made. Comes with its original Geib-style hard case.
