1996 Martin M-38
$3,250.00In stock
Natural, EX-, all stock with a recent neck reset. There was no Style 38 model before the M-38. Think of this as a 0000-38 as they were called the year after this was made.
The M-38 was first introduced in 1977 (the cheaper M-36 in 1978). Sometimes called Grand Auditorium since these are larger than auditorium size 000. More balanced than a dreadnought but has a great bass response. This is one of those one-strum and “wow” guitars. Solid Sitka Spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides, 1 11/16” nut, 25.4” scale, scalloped bracing. Has nine layers of top binding, abalone rosette, triple layer neck binding, an ebony fingerboard and bridge, bound headstock and gold tuners.
You’ll notice a few dings and scratches but is in great condition for a 27-year-old guitar that begs to be played. Has no cracks, a recent neck reset and bridge reglue. Our shop looked this over and it all other needs are addressed. Sounds great with a strong bass and sustain. Comes with the original hard case.
