1987 Martin HD-28P

In stock

First year Martin used this designation for a low-profile neck, which turned out to be quite a popular feature. Scalloped braces, herringbone top purfling, zig-zag pattern backstripe, 1 & 11/16″ nut width. The “P” designation was dropped 2 years later but the neck profile remained the same. Second year for the adjustable truss rod – Martins always had truss rods but were slow to adopt the adjustable type and most modern high-end Martin reissues have the non-adjustable style. This one has a replaced pickguard, minor scratches throughout, and nice naturally-aged lacquer. It’s a great 34 year-old classic with its original hard case.
