1977 Gibson Les Paul Artisan
$6,999.00In stock
A little patina but overall clean, no breaks, all-original including hard case. Maple top in Walnut finish that’s mellowed to almost a honey blonde depending on the light, some quite attractive figure on the center panel, lovely yellowed binding and headstock inlay, and speaking of inlay, the defining feature of the Artisan was its distinctive fingerboard hearts-and-flowers pattern and the thin pre-war script Gibson logo. Otherwise a fairly straightforward late ‘70s 3-pickup Les Paul Custom features-wise, non-sandwich mahogany body, 3-piece maple neck with volute, 1 & 11/16” nut width, ebony fingerboard, and gold hardware. And on the topic of gold hardware, this has all its original (attractively worn in our opinion) hardware mounted including pickup covers, Gibson-branded Grover Rotomatics, Tune-o-matic bridge and stoptail (it may have had a TP-6 out of the factory) but comes with a full set of modern gold parts (save for tuners) if you prefer the minty look. Plays and sounds great, no issues, an unusual and very cool Norlin Les Paul Custom variant. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA, and comes in its original hard case.
