1973 Ampeg V-4B with matching B25B cabinet

In stock

100-watt all-tube head with matching CTS-loaded 2×15″ speaker cabinet, Magnavox era, made in Linden, New Jersey. Technically a bass amp with some preamp circuitry derived from the SVT but also suitable for guitar if your audience has robust hearing protection. Stupendous power and headroom, flexible and versatile EQ, road-worthy and reliable, a staple of, among other bands, the Rolling Stones. This one is extraordinarily clean (both halves) – tolex, badges, etc., and comes with a vinyl cover the head, 4-pin speaker cable, and the most comprehensive set of original papers we’ve ever seen for anything. Manuals, schematics, Ampeg brochures, letter of congratulation from Ampeg, and most amazingly, original warranty cards from the dealer (Hal Leonard in this case) serialized to the head and cabinet and – get this – they’re perforated because they’re computer punch cards, a technology that at the time was probably expected to outlive vacuum tubes. The total package, and in tremendous condition. Sold as a set, consigned, local pickup only.
