1970 Fender Vibro Champ-Amp
$1,200.00Out of stock
Silverface 1×8″ combo, 6 watts, single 6V6, dual 12AX7 preamp, 5Y3 rectifier, volume, bass, and treble controls as well as speed and intensity for the tremolo. This one has an excellent reproduction back panel, an upgraded 3-prong plug, and a great-sounding (as well as great-looking) Jupiter Condenser Co. 8″ loudspeaker with a lovely blue powder-coated frame, but is otherwise all-original and freshly-serviced. Other details include the “AA764” tube chart, floating baffle, and tailed logo. Interesting slightly-transitional example, which we’ve dated to early 1970 based on the serial number block that generally corresponds to Vibro Champs from 1970, plus the presence of some parts date-coded to 1969 and the fact that Fender had dropped the hyphen from their amplifier names by late 1970. Cute, practical, reliable, and true Fender tube tone.
