1966 Silvertone/Danelectro Model 1457L

In stock

Guitar with amp-in-case combo, big neck, near-mint. The 1457 amp is much like a Vibro-Champ, an adorable, simple, great-sounding handwired amp with 1 6V6 tube (5 watts) and a cool 8″ Jensen speaker. Unlike the single-pickup combo version, these amps had the bigger speaker and tremolo. The Danelectro guitar needs no introduction- we’ve seen Mick Jagger on stage recently with one, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and famous Danelectro build quality and tone. This one is the cleanest we’ve ever had and has its original tremolo foot switch, cable, and strap. The amp has been serviced but all original parts are included – power cable, preamp tube, Mallory filter cap. The nut was changed but the original is also included – it even has its original flatwound strings. But wait – the original operating instructions come with and check out this useful tip: “First remove the guitar and its cord from the case…” it says. Thanks Danelectro! And so it began…
