1965 Martin 00-21NY

Out of stock

Brazilian, EX-, with recent neck reset (now plays great). The post-Elvis pre-Beatles folk music boom launched some interesting guitars. These were made from 1961 to 1965 and called the “New York” models as an ode to the earliest Martin shop in New York City.
With lighter braces, wide neck, 12 frets to the body, no markers, and no pickguard (how garish!), these looked like their ancestors.
The notes on this have real power and bloom. A great fingerstyle guitar. Brazilian rosewood back, sides, fingerboard, and bridge.
No cracks but has some finish checking and dings on the treble side. Original tuners and tortoise binding. And with the fresh neck set, a nice tall saddle. Comes with period hard case, not a perfect fit but very functional.
