1965 Gibson C-6 Richard Pick Classical
Natural, Brazilian Rosewood. The label is missing but the Richard Pick models always have the 3/4” wide sound hole ring.
Richard Pick was a classical guitar teacher who also wrote classical guitar books. Gibson hoped his reputation as a serious guitar teacher and author lent credibility in the era of that growing threat to humanity rock and roll.
These are fan braced and have a two-inch wide nut width. This one has led a hard life but we sent it through the shop and feel its buttoned up and ready for a new owner. Note the large repaired top crack going the whole length of the guitar. It had a neck reset a long time ago and we reglued the bridge. It looks to be refretted too. There is also a 6” repaired back crack. These repairs make this more affordable to own. The rosewood has a real nice grain pattern. The gold tuners look to be original. A good guitar for songwriting or recording. Comes with a newer Martin gig bag with a Augustine blue strings.
