Cherry, VG++, one owner with tags from new. Has block inlays, patent sticker pickups and a Bigsby which was likely added later. This was brought in from the widow of Bob the original owner and includes photos of Bob on stage with this guitar that he played almost every weekend. It was his pride and joy. And no wonder! It has a great neck, with an 1 11/16” nut width and great sounding pickups. Has fantastic detail to every note. A real joy to hear and play.

All nickel hardware, original tuners and is refretted. It is otherwise original. This shows the wear of a guitar that was played a lot but has strong color. Has worn lacquer on the neck and some buckle wear on back along with some finish checking. However, this comes with four different original papers from Gibson the original warranty card /instruction hang tag, pickup instructions, TOM instructions and the hang tag labelled professionals attention with envelope. Also has an old polish cloth and curly cord.

In truth, pre 1965 guitar from the original owners are becoming a thing of the past, the end of an era. This guitar was bought new in 1963, used professionally yet loved and cherished. Remember the guitar boom had not yet happened and mass production was unheard of. Guitars from this era are iconic and very collectible. They also are treasured musical instruments. We believe these are undervlued and that vintage guitars bring joy. Comes with the original hard case and aformentioned paperwork. Consigned.
