1959 Gibson ES-175

Sunburst, EX+ Why is it so hard to find 50’s ES-175’s with original PAF pickups? Let’s see…because the pickups and pot are worth 2/3 of the whole guitar. This however is original including pickups, pots and everything else: wood bridge, long pickguard, lacquer switch tip, tuners, only two nits to pick. The nickel tailpiece has been repaired and at one time it had a floating Bigsby (you’d only know if you peaked under the tailpiece). We know because we sold this same guitar 10 years ago. This is a fantastic sounding guitar with a great fade in the color, the better to see the blistered maple underneath. No fret wear (thank you flatwounds). Has warm vibrant acoustic tone. PAF’s are great for jazz. Some wear (it’s a jazz guitar after all ) but otherwise clean. A rare find, comes with the original brown hard case.
