1936 Martin C-1

Out of stock

Sunburst, refinished, carved F hole top. These are an interesting sideshow for Martin, famous for flat tops by wanted to enter the archtop market starting in 1931. The R series was a bit smaller and less deluxe. The C series are 15” side. They started making one-piece (non-segmented) F-holes in about ’32. The R series had three piece holes then. With a carved Adirondack Spruce top, 1 3//4” nut width and 24 3/4” scale. Someone spared no expense in having this refinished and added a gold Gibson-style bridge and a non-original but cool tailpiece. Still has the original Grover Sta-Tite tuners. A nifty pre-war Martin in a nice original hard case.
