1937 Martin C-1 Archtop

In stock

Sunburst, these are the bargains of the arch top world, very high-quality woods and workmanship. Hand carved top, solid mahogany back and sides (back not carved), these are 15 inches wide, 24 3/4” scale, 1 3/4” nut width. Frankly, these were more expensive than flattop’s back in the day. This has a nice neck shape with a slight V.

Details: Grover (pat. Pending era) tuners added (we can’t fool you). The guitar has been completely oversprayed over the original finish. This might have been done in the last 84 years as it has an ancient side crack repair. No other serious repairs except a newer ebony bridge and missing pickguard. This has been shop checked and has a fret dress. It barks like an archtop should. Currently strung with .013 bronze strings. Proudly offered with an original tweed soft case.
