1930’s Vega C-38

Sunburst, this magnificent hand carved guitar came from the golden era. They used the best woods with backs and tops carved like traditional violins. The gorgeous ultra flamed sold maple back and sides are fun just to gaze upon.

The 16” body has a hand carved top with a wonderful arch. Note, the ultra fancy checkerboard top (get a quote from another maker to get that custom ordered). Big pearl inlay on ebony fingerboard. This guitar has a rather small nut width at slightly larger than 1.5” but a deep V neck profile. Also note the German made vintage Grover Imperials and original tailpiece that is “tension adjustable”. Has an old headstock repair and some other repaired cracks, missing sound hole binding and missing pickguard.

This is a crazy cool piece of American Guitar history. Played but not abused, quite functional. Martin bought the Vega name after they had a downfall in the 60’s. Sold as is but proudly with a rather beat original brown hard case.
