Electric Semi-Hollow Body1961 Gibson ES-335TD

Ex-. An exceedingly rare item. Gibson did not make leftys in batches as each was custom-ordered and took many months if not years from inquiry to delivery. This guitar, from its original owner, has never before been offered. We don't remember ever seeing another in left-handed configuration. Mostly stock with some cool anomalies like dots in the neck binding on both sides and an original "long guard" double-cut by the factory. Only the tuners have been changed, to nickel Grover Rotomatics, around 1970. Some play wear but no breaks or abuse. A mere 7 pounds on the scale. A '62-era neck profile and knobs. While we've come across a few early ES-335s in natural this is the rarest dot-neck we've ever had. This might be a unique opportunity, with what is likely less than 5 or 6 ever made. The pots date to the third week (January) of 1961 and all the electronics are as factory original as the rest of the guitar. Except Grovers it is just how it left the factory. The pickguard might look odd as it’s: 1) a long guard 2). We believe was cut to access the thumb wheel on the bass side of the bridge. If you saw the cut you’d think it was a factory cut as well. Comes with original case, strap, and pitch pipe so you and the band can all be in tune. $Call For Price.
