Acoustic Flat Top1999 Olson Small Jumbo Twin 2

Custom ordered, designed and built as a matched set. With sequential serial numbers from the same hand selected quarter sawn Brazilian rosewood back and sides. Both with spectacular inlay by Larry Robinson based on Celtic designs from the Book of Kells (a manuscript from the year 800). At only 40 guitars a year local legend Jim Olson doesn’t make enough guitars to go around. As twins these two took over two years to complete. The only matched set he ever made and maybe ever will. Individually these guitars are exceptional players instruments, small jumbos that project a sweet balanced tone. One Western cedar has a slightly warmer tone. Twin number two is made of Engelmann spruce. This months Guitar Aficionado magazine boasts of Jim’s work. It also states that Brazilian rosewood guitars start at $18,000 and have a huge wait. Especially with these deluxe appointments. These unique twin guitars now over twelve years old have been very well cared for and feature: straight grain, quarter sawn premium Brazilian rosewood with stunning color. Has abalone rosette, back strip and top trim. The fingerboard inlays are abalone and mop. The ebony bridge and faceplate also with mop logo. Five piece laminated neck with ebony heel cap. All of that and more times two. A really cool smart buy with no waiting and two cases so you can tell them apart. One of them is a deluxe tweed case and the other a Calton case for travel. Priced at $52,500 for the pair with all forms of payment and part trades considered or at $50,000 with cash, money order or bank wire. Also included is LR Baggs LB-6 pickup and the original inlay diagrams with hand written notes by inlay artist Larry Robinson. New Lower price. $Call For Price.
