Bass1965 Epiphone Embassy Deluxe Bass

In from Sheryl Crow. It’s a long scale two pickup Gibson bass not unlike the Thunderbird IV which had the same scale length and pickups. One of only 113 shipped. This is a similar model to the Epi bass played by Johnny Cash’s bass player Marshall Grant on his hit a Boy Name Sue and shown on the cover of his album Live at San Quentin album. Sheryl had the honor of Johnny Cash covering her song Redemption Day in 2002. This bass is in excellent condition with no cracks or repairs but shows a little bit of use. This wasn’t used on the road but from Sheryl’s home studio. Sheryl is an American songwriting legend and I doubt a day goes by when you don’t hear her music. This comes with the original hard case, a set list and a letter of provenance from Willie. $6000
